Good music and good deeds
Throughout the past year, we have organized several benefit concerts featuring Russian artists such as Noize MC, Monetochka, and Boris Grebenshchikov. We worked hard to bring them to Norway, and you all ensured the success of these concerts by purchasing tickets and attending. Together, these efforts have allowed SmåRådina to donate NOK 169,000 to charity thus far. But we are not stopping there — we are launching the Solidarity Fund to continue our mission of making a positive impact!
About the fund
All proceeds from concerts organized by SmåRådina, as well as your generous contributions and donations, are placed into a dedicated bank account. These funds are subsequently utilized to provide assistance to individuals and organizations in Ukraine, refugees, independent Russian journalists, political prisoners, and anti-war initiatives.
Upcoming concerts in the pipeline!
Film critic Anton Dolin is coming to Oslo in November 2024!
Who has SmåRådina supported thus far?
- In May 2022, Noize MC and Monetochka brought the “Voices of Peace” project to Norway. These artists selflessly donated their entire fee to assist Ukrainians who had been displaced by the war. In addition, we waived our own fees and organized a fundraising campaign. Thanks to these efforts, we were able to send NOK 111,000 to the Siepomaga fund and NOK 10,000 to Flyktninghjelpen.
- Following Boris Grebenshchikov’s concert in Oslo, we allocated NOK 10,000 to support independent journalists at DOXA, and NOK 11,000 to the SaveUkraineUA.org fund, which helps repatriate Ukrainian children from Russia and evacuate children from war-torn regions.
- Moreover, we have contributed approximately NOK 10,000 to RescueNow, a Ukrainian organization dedicated to assisting victims affected by the destruction of the Kakhovka dam through evacuation efforts.
- Following Monetochka’s concert in Oslo, we allocated approximately NOK 17,000 (€ 1 500) to “Tabletochki” a Ukrainian fund helping children with cancer.
- After the stage reading "How we buried Josef Stalin" in March 2024, we transferred NOK 10,270 to the charity foundation open.hearts.ua, which helps orphans and disabled children.
- At the SBP4 concert in March, we were able to collect NOK 750 (3,000 hryvnias) for the “Cats on Mars” fund, which evacuates cats from war-torn regions of Ukraine
